Tilawa Marina closed our 2010 season on October 15, 2010. We will be closed for all services while planned refitting, construction and many modifications are crafted throughout the whole campground and marina. Once the full scope of the renovations near completion we will post our new look and services on this website. WHEN we open for the summer we would like to have your boat or pontoon tie up in our berths, or your camper trailer parked in our campsites. We may still be doing some renovations, and some dust may fly, but good and positive changes are happening. We have done some construction and are reviewing new services and amenities for this Summer 2011.

Our Lease Rates for the 2011 season are NOT defined at this time. The 2010 Lease rates are posted for reference. We will post new lease information later. Check back here frequently for the latest information about our opening date.

Tilawa Marina is a medium sized Marina and RV/Camping destination. As the new owners, we are dedicated to providing a safe and secure boating experience for families, with our 48 Boat Slips for pontoon, sail and power boats and camping enjoyment at our thirty six RV/Camping spaces. This quiet and beautiful location is on the site of the oldest marina on the lake and is destined to be known for providing excellence of accomodations and charm for our clients.

Tilawa - Which means Land of Wind and Rain, Mountain and Water to us, is on beautiful quiet Tilawa Cove with boat slips well out of the lake traffic, and view oriented RV and camp sites, situated along the Northern lakeside, just east of the State Road 67 Butler Bridge on 1700 Sink Valley Road, in Butler, TN. (Formerly known as Pappy's Marina). Visit us this summer and enjoy the water and views at our special place on the lake. It's a little piece of heaven on the Tennessee, North Carolina border. We provide reasonable fees in a family-oriented lake destination recreation and vacation hide-away.

We lease our watercraft slips and RV camping sites on annual, six month and three month periods. New leases generally start May 15th. Once we open the applications for a lease you can contact us by Snail Mail, E-mail or Phone to obtain the lease forms and necessary actions needed to reserve a space. Spaces are assigned by management and are not able to be requested by our leasees. Our Contact Information is listed here.

Come visit our site to see how we're making Tilawa Marina a place you want to berth your boat, perhaps stay, and be a part of the gentle and easy side of the Watauga Lake boating experience. The lake is 16 miles long with over 100 miles of shoreline, much of which is in the Cherokee National Forest, and is considered one of the most beautiful settings in the TVA lake system, if you didn't know. So plan to visit us this summer and enjoy the Tilawa experience.
