Rules &
Regulations
- SPEED
LIMIT - The Speed Limit on the Marina
Grounds is 5 Mph -
SAFETY
FIRST
at All Times.
- No
Public Drunkenness - No Illegal Drugs of Any
Kind - Violations Will Be Cause For
Eviction Without A Refund.
- Management
must be advised in advance of any boat or
camper Installation or Removal.
- One
vehicle per campsite, guests and extra
vehicles are to park on the Sink Valley
roadway.
- No
ATV's on Marina property. No electric or gas
golf carts.
- Park
in graveled areas only; leave room for other
vehicles to pass, trailers may not be parked
overnight.
- Each
site is to be kept in a clean and sanitary
condition, trash may not be stored in open
areas.
- No
outdoor appliances: Exception, gas BBQ's in
good repair, upon management approval. Rugs
and mats on gravel only.
- No
additions or modifications may be made to a
space without management approval. (Boat
slips and camper spaces.)
- The
limit for each campsite is 6 persons,
overnight. Visitors must leave the Marina by
11 pm.
- An
adult must accompany all children when they
are away from the campsite, or boat slip.
- Children
must wear life jackets on the docks - No
exceptions.
- Adults
and children must wear shoes around the
grounds and the docks of the Marina for
safety.
- Fishing
from the docks is fine, with the proper
licenses. Clean up all bait and trash when
you are done.
- No
cleaning of fish is permitted on the
docks. No fishing from the gas dock.
- Activity
Hours are from 7 am to 11 pm. Quiet Hours are
restricted: No music or TV sounds that reach
your neighbors.
- Generator
use is for emergency situations only.
- Note:
No swimming around the docks or boat ramp.
All swimming is at your own risk. There are
NO lifeguards.
- Electricity
and sewer hookups are provided. Rubber donuts
or a fixed sealed connection is required on
sewers.
- Cable
and phone connections are at each site's
option and costs.
- NO
open containers of alcoholic beverages. No
glass containers. Coozie wraps are
accepted.
- ABSOLUTELY
NO FIREWORKS, FIREARMS, WEAPONS
or
INCENDIARY DEVICES
ARE
PERMITTED.
- Pets:
Pets are to be on a leash of 6 Ft. or less at
all times. No Pens are allowed. Owners must
keep pets under control at all times; Pets
are not to be left unattended; No
disturbances or fights allowed; Owners
must clean up after their
pets.
- Insurance:
Lessee must have the proper insurance for all
their property on the Marina grounds and
waterways.
- Flooding:
by Tennessee Valley Authority, all owners
must be able to move their campers within a
24 hour notice. Neither Tennessee Valley
Authority, Tilawa Marina, nor Tilawa LLC is
responsible for damages due to flooding.
- MARINA
- HARBOR
- Tilawa's
Harbor is a NO WAKE ZONE. The Speed
Limit is 3 Mph per TWRA and state law,
from the buoys to the docks.
- Safety
rules are for the benefit of all Marina
users, and violations will be dealt with as
urgent priorities.
- No
water skiing, wakeboarding, towing of
kneeboards, or inner tubes, etc, is allowed
within the harbor limits.
- No
open flames on the docks, slips, or on your
boat while tied in a slip. No Smoking on the
docks.
- No
discharge of sewage or pollutants will be
allowed. TVA, TWRA, & US EPA prohibit the
discharge of oily or hazardous substances,
Styrofoam, flammable or dangerous fluids into
the lake water or shoreline, and it is a
ticketable offense.
- Tilawa
Marina is not responsible for any damages to
your watercraft, from other boats, flotsam or
jetsam, or acts of God.
- Each
owner is responsible to properly secure their
craft with the necessary tie downs, lines and
attachments. Failure to do so may make you
liable for damages your craft may cause.
Owners are responsible for bumpers, lines and
standoffs.
- Boats
may not be used for overnight camping within
Tilawa Marina harbor boundaries.
- Renters
agree to use the boat slips exclusively for
their personal watercraft. Subletting of
slips is prohibited.
- At
no time will Tilawa Marina, its owner, or
employees, be responsible for fire, theft,
weather, wind, rain, water level, natural
disasters, terrorism, or any other loss or
damage to a customer's watercraft or
property.
- It
is the responsibility of the watercraft owner
to know and follow laws & rules of the
United States, the State of Tennessee, the
State of North Carolina, the county, TWRA,
TVA, and any other regulatory agency, and to
explain those rules to users of their
equipment. Please see TWRA Boating Safety
booklet, available free at the Marina
office.

- It
is the watercraft owner's responsibility to
have a current registration for their
watercraft.
- Boats
for hire or rent are not allowed, unless
agreed to under contract with Tilawa
Marina.
- Trailer
storage is not provided. Owners are requested
to take their trailers to their homes or
storage lots.
- Annual
combination lessees with campsite/boat slip
rental may park their watercraft on their
trailer at their campsite in the winter.
Winter trailer storage of watercraft is only
available for combination leased campsite and
boat slip.
- We
strongly advise all boats be removed from
Nov. 1st to April 1st. for security and
avoidance of lower lake levels.
Tilawa
Marina / Tilawa LLC., reserves the right to
modify, add to, or amend these Rules &
Regulations at any time.
A current dated copy of the Rules &
Regulations will be posted in the Marina Office,
and is provided to all lessees.
